Sorry ladies for the extended summer break from the blog. I guess I was 

enjoying my time away from textbooks and studying a bit too much.

So much has been happening in Pi Chapter this semester, and it's only

October!! 

As always, we should be proud of our sisters and the accomplishments that have been made 

the start of a new school year. Over the next few days I will be making numerous posts catching 

everyone up on the news of UNL's Gamma Phi Beta.

Carolina Cup.

Sorry for the randomness of this post, but I have been obsessed with the Carolina Cup since the day I knew what a horse was. The sun hats, Lilly dresses, bright colors, and men in bow ties were enough to make my heart skip a beat. It has been a goal of mine to attend this beloved event, but it has yet to happen.

Over the months, I have acquired quite a folder of inspirational photos of my perfected "Carolina Cup Outfit." Thought I would share some of the preppy inspiration with all of you lovely ladies. 

I need one these beauties.

Mom's Day!

The women of Pi chapter love celebrating our annual Mom's day! It is a great way to show our mothers how much they truly mean to us. After all, they helped raise us and turn us into the classy women that we are today. 

This year, Mom's day began with lunch at Gamma Phi Beta. During lunch the seniors gave presentations to their mothers, expressing their love and gratitude. Needless to say, a few tears were shed :) After lunch and presentations were finished, the women headed to the theater to watch "Now and Then."  A perfect chick-flick for a perfect day.

I hope all of you were able to spend the day with your mother and tell her how much she meant to you. 

After this year, I cannot wait for what the next Mom's day will bring!

From Coast to Coast..

Gamma Phi Beta has the best French Toast.

With that said, we definitely had the best French Toast Feed in years. Way to go Kiya Stack (our Philanthropy chair) and every lady in Pi Chapter that worked the night of the event. FTF took place on Thursday, March 29th from 9pm until 2am. Tickets were $3 from any Gamma Phi or $4 at the door.

FTF has been the talk on campus for the last week, and I totally understand why.

To give a little history:

FTF is Pi Chapter's spring philanthropy which benefits CampFire USA. CampFire USA is an after-school program for under-privileged kids in Omaha and Lincoln, NE. They also created the BackPack Program, which sends backpacks of food home during the weekend for the children. For more information on how to get involved with CampFire USA, click here.

Spring Break Updated

Hello lovely ladies! I hope everyone had a fabulous spring break.  I have seen numerous girls rocking fresh tans and telling some great stories. 

In case you have not had the chance to talk to girls in the chapter, here is an update on what 

some of you sisters were doing over break:

Numerous girls made the trek to Chicago this spring break. Spotted were Jordie Bornhoft and Mallory Vogt spending their well saved money on Michigan Avenue. Laura Bennett and Erin DuBois were seen walking through Millenium Park and laying out at Navy Pier.

Katy Weak also enjoyed the Windy City over break with her older brother.

Beth Olson clearly enjoyed the sites of Madrid, Spain.

Jordan Nelson enjoyed the beach with some Phi Delts.

Elise Nelson (left) enjoyed the perfect weather of Arizona with friends. 

I will continue to update on the adventures of Pi Chapter during Spring Break. Until then, I expect you have tons of catching up to do on homework, or maybe that's just me...'

Pi Chapter on Spring Break

I hope all of you lovely ladies are having a fabulous time on your Spring Break. No textbooks, no teachers, and absolutely no alarm clocks. So where exactly have you been spending SB2012?
