National Badge Day

I hope most of you ladies decided to take a little extra time this morning, dress up, and put on your lovely Gamma Phi Beta badge.

HAPPY NATIONAL BADGE DAY!

You probably did not know this:

The original Gamma Phi Beta badge was designed by Tiffany & Co. It has not changed
much since being created in 1874.

Who doesn't love a blue box?
Gamma Phi Beta was one of the seven founding organizations of the National Panhellenic Council
in 1902.  Our badge was voted "The Most Beautiful Badge" among
the National Panhellenic Council.

GPhiB "Most Beautiful Badge"

We have a pretty awesome badge. Wear your badge proudly tonight at MNM,
and rock that "Most Beautiful Badge."

XOXO,

Your Beloved Crescent Sister

G Phi B's lets finish midterms strong and show our professors who rock the GPA!

Because we have all this to look forward to...
Always reppin' the letters!

PARTY PARTY for ASUN

After highlighting IMPACT for ASUN, I wanted to make sure to give equal coverage
to PARTY PARTY for UNL. This is the second party running during student elections.
Party Party is filled with students that want to make the university and ASUN more accessible for all students.

For more information about the Party Party for ASUN check out their Facebook and their website.

Just like IMPACT, there is a Gamma Phi running with the party.

Murphy Larson
Murphy is running for a senator position with the College of Business Administration. She will represent the college with three other senators. Murphy highlighted one of the main goals of the party when I approached her. She stressed that there are so many opportunities for ASUN to work with student organizations that have a huge impact on campus, but right now everything is fairly separate. She was quoted saying, "I love working with the Party Party team because we are such a diverse group. Yet, everyone is excited about the potential to really bring the campus together if we are elected."

Do not forget about Student Elections on March 7th, 2012 and make sure
to bring your support for your Gamma Phi sisters.

Love,
Your Beloved Crescent Sister

IMPACT 4 ASUN

Many of you may know that student elections are coming up very soon. The date is March 7th and the students are already out promoting their organizations. This year, two different parties are running for ASUN, Party Party and IMPACT. Each party is filled with involved students, great ideas, and of course, Gamma Phis.

First, we will be highlighting IMPACT.

The IMPACT party is a group of highly involved and knowledgeable students. They have three main goals which consist of Academics, Outreach and Student Life.

You can see a full description of their goals and platforms on their Facebook Page and their website

Now to highlight the Gamma Phi Betas involved with this party:

Lauren Andrews

Lauren is running for the senator position for the College of Journalism and Mass Communications. It is the only senate seat for her college and I know she will represent the college well. She is also on the core team which is in charge of promoting the party, weekly meeting, and figuring out platforms. When I spoke to Lauren, she said "I believe we have a team of the most knowledgeable students that know almost everything about our campus. These students (including myself) are compassionate about what we do, and what we want to do." Lauren is no stranger to student government. As a freshman, Lauren was a member of FCLA.

Emily Waring

Emily is running for the senator position for the College of Engineering.

Tayler Hough

Tayler is running as a member of the Advisory Board for the College of Arts & Sciences. Tayler is currently a member of FCLA.

If you want to hear more about the parties and their platforms, feel free to attend The Last Word-ASUN Debate hosted by HPSAB. More information
is available here.

Don't forget to vote in the student elections
on March 7th, 2012 and support your Gamma Phi sisters!
